Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for playing in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV, it is the actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. The actor is able to create characters that reflect both the bad and good aspects of the legal system. He can attract the attention of his audience effortlessly. The first show he worked on was a television show, however, he was later as a detective with the NYPD. The small screen performances of his have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be his striking blue eyes that are regarded as a signature and helped in portraying rough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
